"The Axe Day" with Craft Theme - Gränsfors Bruk

Welcome to Axe Day in Gränsfors with a craft theme!
During Axe Day this year, we put craft at the center. Here you can experience traditional woodworking and blacksmithing up close, including by showing how carpentry is done. In addition, last year's crowd favorite, the craft competition, is back! Some of Sweden's most skilled craftsmen meet in an intense competition where they create unique works with axes and wood for four hours. As a visitor, you can vote for the winner and get really close to both the process and the craftsmanship.
During the day, there will also be factory tours, an open museum, offers in the factory shop and the opportunity to resharpen and rehandle your axe from Gränsfors Bruk. The flower pot factory is open and food will be served at Augustas. For children and families, there are, among other things, try out blacksmithing, as well as crafts and activities together with Woxna, the Woolpower County Museum and Svedbro Smide.
